Radha Suvarna is the Head of Enterprise Payments Strategy & Innovation at Citizens. He leads Citizens’ payments strategy with a focus on delivering best-in-class client experiences and value propositions by accelerating the bank’s enterprise-wide payments capabilities and platforms. He has more than 24 years of experience in Digital Payments, Credit Cards & Lending managing various functions and businesses in the United States and Singapore. He formerly was Head of Digital Payments and Lending for Citi’s U.S. Consumer Bank, where he built the function and launched and drove a number of payment capabilities and partnerships including Payment Hub, Apple Pay, PayPal, Google Pay, Zelle, Card-based installment products like Flex Loan and Flex Pay – while also driving the test and learn for proprietary wallet concepts such as Citi Pay. Radha is a thought leader in the payments space and played an active role in a number of industry-wide initiatives including TCH’s Secure Token Exchange, Real Time Payments, EWS’s Zelle and Fed’s Faster Payments Taskforce effort. Prior to that, Radha held a number of leadership roles in the U.S. and Singapore – including managing Credit Card / Personal loans and data analytics. Citizens partners with Zelle for person-to-person payments and was one of the first financial institutions to begin using the real-time payments rail developed by The Clearing House (TCH) to offer customers faster payments.
