Sharif Alexandre is an EVP & Chief Technology Officer at ConnectOne Bank. In his current role, he is responsible for developing and executing the bank’s technology strategy as well as managing the company’s technology infrastructure, systems architecture, software development, and data infrastructure. Prior to joining ConnectOne in 2002 Sharif served as the CEO of Bryllyant from 2017 to 2022. Sharif also founded and served as the CEO of FABRIQ from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, Sharif Alexandre founded and served as the CEO of XIPWIRE from 2008 to 2012, where he developed a mobile payment service. Before his entrepreneurial ventures, he worked as a Business Technology Consultant from 1994 to 2008.

Sharif Alexandre earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania from 1990 to 1994. Sharif then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1996 to 1998. In 2001 and 2002, he conducted an independent study in French Language and Literature at Université Paris-Sorbonne. Moreover, he obtained several professional certifications, including Red Hat Certified Engineer from Red Hat in 2010, Java Certified Developer from Sun Microsystems in 2002, and Oracle Database Administrator from Oracle in May 2000.
