Justin Hunsaker leads the Originations and Wellness team in Enterprise Digital. The team is responsible for Digital Product Management of KeyBank’s originations and wellness squads, partnering with the lines of business to develop fantastic client experiences that drive growth. The team has delivered a modern, omnichannel experience for over half of the originations at KeyBank almost doubling the total originations performed digitally and more than doubling the number of checking accounts opened digitally.
He joined KeyBank in August 2017 taking the role in Business Banking focusing on Client Centricity and Digital Transformation. As part of the Business Banking Team, Justin delivered the Small Business Wellness Review in less than nine months using Human Centered Design and Agile. The Small Business Wellness Review program has been recognized by Barlow Research Associates with a 2019 Monarch Innovation Awards.
Previously, Justin worked at Capital One Bank for 10 years where he invigorated the in-branch Small Business iPad experience by adding full product suite, referrals, and digital applications with >1.5k new customers added per month.
He led Capital One Bank to achieve JD Power Small Business Bank #1 in Northeast for 2015 with a 30-point Net Promoter Score (NPS) increase through analysis, ownership, product simplification, and culture change. He reduced small business branch costs through digitization and rationalizing footprint and influenced branch selection with transaction analysis (saving $2MM revenue annually).
Prior to working at Capital One Bank, Justin was a software engineer for 10 years at Harris Corporation. He participated in the full lifecycle of software development on the Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA) Air Traffic Control Communication System.
Justin earned his Master of Science in Computer and Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology, College of Engineering, and then earned the Executive Master of Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He has a bachelor’s in Mathematics from the University of Florida.
Justin relocated to Cleveland, Ohio with his wife (Kathryn) and two kids (May, age 10, and Karl, age 7).
